2024年9月20日，funky_vinyls_records 上传的混音合集视频里的其中一首失传歌曲“Saw This Girl Tonight”已被识别。并最终确定这首歌曲是 Misfits Of Science 的《[[Can-t-Touch-You-Now|Can't Touch You Now]]》，尽管理论上这首歌曲曾被人们推测可能来自1980年代，但实际上该歌曲于1999年被创作。因此这让人们推测“Somewhere In The Night”也可能创作于1990年代或2000年代。

2025年2月5日，用户 Nel80s 成功联系上了 funky_vinyls_records。而据该用户表示他是从一个专门讨论AOR音乐的论坛上的博文中以原声带的一部分下载了这首歌曲的音频。最后该用户说他会尝试在他的文件中寻找这首歌曲的音频，但也推测该音频档案很可能已经被他删除。
