2024年2月25日，Reddit用戶MJIgaz4對比了這首歌與義大利歌手Piero Cotto的聲線，二者聽起來完全相同。
2024年3月15日，有人聯繫了Piero Cotto的兒子，其確認他的父親演唱了這首歌。第二天，Piero Cotto本人親自證實這首歌是他1983年創作的《Johnny in the Middle of the Park》。
Piero Cotto的眾多歌曲是以他的製作人Aldo Pagani和Logan Michael名義在版權部門登記的，而未直接登記Piero Cotto自己的名字。4月12日，Discord用戶Nel發現這首歌的版權人信息中增加了Piero Cotto。
